²Instituto de Telecomunicações | Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal

GOALS: The workshop aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology while promoting its adoption and inspiring future innovations and collaborations in the field, by setting these goals and objectives:

  • Educate Participants: Provide a comprehensive introduction to blockchain technology, including its history, underlying principles, and key components. Explain the different types of blockchain (public, private, and consortium) and their use cases.
  • Showcase Real-World Applications: Present case studies and success stories from various industries, such as finance, healthcare, supply chain, and government. Highlight innovative projects and startups leveraging blockchain technology to solve real-world problems.
  • Foster Collaboration and Networking: Create a platform for industry experts, academics, and practitioners to share knowledge and experiences. Encourage the formation of partnerships and collaborations that can lead to future blockchain projects and research initiatives.
  • Discuss Future Trends and Challenges: Examine the latest developments in blockchain technology, such as smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), and interoperability solutions. Address the challenges and barriers to widespread adoption, such as regulatory issues, scalability, and security.
  • Disseminate Knowledge: Deliver keynotes and lectures by renowned experts in the blockchain field to provide attendees with deep insights into the technology. With panel discussions on specific topics such as blockchain in finance, the role of blockchain in digital identity, and blockchain for EV charging and Verifiable Credentials.
  • Build a Community: Important for networking events such as meet-and-greet sessions, social mixers, and group discussions to help attendees build connections.
  • Call for Action: Consolidate the key takeaways and insights from the workshop into a set of recommendations and action points for participants to apply blockchain technology in their respective fields.

e-Hospital4Future – Building future through an innovated and digital skilled hospital

Nuno Bettencourt, Susana Nicola, Ana Madureira

ISRC – Interdisciplinary Studies Research Center | ISEP ISEP, Polytechnic of Porto

ABSTRACT: Are you eager to know more about e-Hospital4Future project’s activities and training courses about building the future through an innovative and digital skilled hospital On this workshop, participants will first get the opportunity to better understand the e-Hospital4FutureEuropean research project. Through peer dynamics, participants will have the chance to understand which training modules are available and their fields of ability. Afterwards, participants will have the chance to propose enhancements to current training modules, provide insights on new training modules and express their opinion about which fields of ability require more (or new) training.
